second week

Second week of school went by so quickly.

The much-awaited ptn lunch session with my dearest classmates and form teacher on Monday was really fun. We ate at dhoby ghaut’s sakura. It was a waste because only half of the class went for the ptn lunch because of some reason, but seriously who in the world would reject free food? Obviously not the other half of the class. Furthermore, those who attended the lunch are my closest friends and are the bunch of people I like to hang out with in school.

It was my first time there and I was pretty unsure of the food served there. The food didn’t really matter, it was the time spent with my classmates that mattered. It would be the last time eating as classmates anyway, before we all get separated into our electives. With an open mind, I went there to have fun and enjoy each other’s company.

The food served sucked, but I was digging the b&j ice-cream (I took six scoops of cookie & cream oops guilty pleasure). Everyone were talking to each other about some topics and since me and kai sat in the middle of the long table, we were able to listen to different conversation at the same time. Monday was such a great day because we even got to know some really deep “secret” which I would not mention here duh hahahhahaha

We also surprised Sam with a birthday cake (and a birthday song being played on the speakers) as Sam’s birthday fell on Sunday. But by the time we cut the cake, everyone was filled to the brim and couldn’t finish the delicious cookies & cream cake.

Basically, this week went by really fast because I was too occupied with never-ending assignments and projects :-( I couldn’t get long hours of sleep and find myself being exhausted in class. There was this day where I only got to sleep at 2am after completing the shitload of projects >:-( but I’m finally glad that I’m able to get my rest today. Mind you, this is just the first year in poly. Will I have to indulge myself with caffeine to help me in year two and three? Stay tuned to find out.

However, I guessed those sacrifices were worth it because I’ve received an A for my general education paper (somehow equivalent to general paper) and I’m one of the three top scorers. Only God knows how much I wanted to scream once I saw the marks on my paper. I had to double take to make sure I wasn’t hallucinating :-B furthermore, it was my first time getting an A for this semester, which makes it much more unbelievable.

Overflowing with excitement, I texted my mum and shared with her about my good news. She was proud of me and I couldn’t get any happier. I thought of telling my dad at home when I see him, but I got shocked when my dad texted me and told me how happy and proud he was of me. I kinda felt bad because I only told my mum at that time, but dad’s surprise congratulations text almost made me tear up in the middle of a lecture. The strong girl I am, I held back my excitement and remained as calm as a cucumber hehe

Two more weeks before deadlines for projects and before my presentation aaaaahhhhh nervous. Too many things to do, too little time. Secretly hoping that I would get to rest during the weekends and not do any assignments (clearly sounds impossible haha)

eager for the four days of holidays thanks to cnycelebrations yehet~
