Hello lovelies.
This post was supposed to be published last week but I did not manage to do so because I was too busy cramming up for my examinations. Exam update: I'm finally done with three papers and am left with one last paper next wednesday! I can smell freedom already sigh. But whatever it is, good luck to the rest of the students who are still having their papers!

On the 15th, I met up with my girlfriends for a study session in school.
And as you all know, nothing ever gets done during study sessions and we gave up studying in the afternoon. It was productive at first, but then we lost our moods after watching The Boy Next Door while having our lunch. If you're curious about the movie, one word of advice from me: don't waste your time watching it and spare yourself the gore. Trust me on this, the trailer looked good but the movie sucked so bad and the ending was pretty abrupt.

hi sayang

hi sayang number two (i'm saying it in nina's perspective because
she was the one behind my camera hehehe)

The night before, we planned on treating ourselves with desserts after a productive study session (to keep us motivated) We wanted to visit the newly-opened shop called In-between, which is located at Bukit Panjang Plaza. We were interested in trying out the ice-cream sandwich after looking at photos on twitter and reading good reviews about the store. Not a single one of us knew how to go there or where the shop is located in the mall. But we were really determined to find the store and try out the ice-cream sandwich. And so, marks the first episode of our food adventures with furrealz.

The thoughts of going cafe-hopping and exploring new food has always been on my mind but I haven't really found the right people. Finally I'm able to do that because this two loves good food as much as I do.

And off we go for our first exploration/expedition/whatever you want to call it. We departed from school at around 3pm and made our way to choa chu kang. Cck will always have a special place in my heart because I would always go to my cousin's house and we'd watch Power Rangers and climb on tables and chairs (because they were guys and I was pretty active back then) and eat good food prepared by my aunt. After alighting at cck, we then took the lrt to bukit panjang. We were so shocked at the tap out station because the tap out machines were so old school! It's a bummer that I didn't took any photo of the machines but I'll give you a visual explanation. It's like those machines at the entrance of any swimming complex. We were so confused for a brief moment and continued walking.

There were no visible signs around the area we alighted and we eventually asked for directions from a the owner of a convenience store nearby. All she gave us was "walk straight". We didn't really want to ask any more questions so we just used our instincts to navigate. We manage to find the mall, despite breaking into sweat a little too much. We then made our way to find the store.

We spent about ten minutes or so finding the store because there weren't any signs and the store wasn't listed on the mall directory. And so, here's In-between. We were expecting a long line of eager customers while making our way to the store but to our surprise, there wasn't anyone at all! It must have been our lucky day.

There were cookie samples at the counter and we gladly took the samples. The friendly staff also told us that we can sample the ice cream too. The staff was pretty relaxed and she was happy to strike a conversation with us, recommending the best combinations and then we made our choices.

Most of the pictures here are taken by Nina (thanks babe) because both Nini and I were too busy sampling the cookies and were having difficulties choosing our desired cookie flavour and ice-cream to go along with. Nina made her decision quickly and she snapped pictures after making her decision. One ice-cream sandwich costs $4.90 and to us, it was worth the money. We were told that we are able to choose two different cookie flavours.
There were so many cookie flavours to choose from, and all of them were so delicious!

I think I got ginger and red velvet flavoured cookies, and salted caramel ice-cream as the filing. Look at the size! I wouldn't mind travelling all the way to Bukit Panjang Plaza to get this because it's super delicious and affordable. Plus, we were drenched in sweat under the sweltering heat and the sandwich made up for the weather.
Overall, I feel that the store has many good options and the pricing is really reasonable. I'd love to go there again to try the ice-cream! It was a waste that my ice-cream melted too quickly the other day.

Hello lovelies.
Pardon me for the lack of updates, I've been really caught up with schools and deadlines. But enough of me ranting about school, it isn't a fun topic anyway. So I'm gonna spare you guys the sad part.

As you all know, tomorrow is 14th February and obviously you guys know what day it is. It's the day all couples love and also the day where the single guys and girls, like me, wonder why we are still alone (jk kidding) It's just a day where people find the reason to bring the girl/guy they like out for dinner, or guys to bring flowers for their girlfriends or whatsoever.

I've never really celebrated Valentine's Day not because I can't celebrate it, it's just because I don't see the need to celebrate it. What I mean is that there's 364 other days to show your love to your partner or your other half and you shouldn't just let him/ her know that you love him on that day only. I'm not exactly the right person you should come to for anything related to relationships because I don't think I'm that experienced in that sector oops.

But there is something that I like about Valentine's Day. I really love to see shopping malls decorating their interiors with pink decorations all over the place. Not everyday you get to see mall interiors looking super cute and all lovey-dovey. Also, stores everywhere are selling items relating to valentine's day; roses, teddy bears, pink cards, you know what I mean right. There'll be so many guys and girls carrying balloons and flowers from their other half, with smiles that you can spot from a mile away. You don't get to see that everyday also.

Come to think of it, I have never had a valentine's date or a valentine's before. Pretty sad huh?
I think love is a wonderful thing. It's really good to love someone despite his or her differences, similarities, personality, qualities and it's so much better to be loved by someone who overlooks all the bad in you and someone who accepts you for who you are. Someone who likes it raw, someone who likes a challenge, all that. It'll be really cool if I get to experience it one day.

However, it is very sad to hear stories of couples breaking up, even worse when I hear couples that I secretly ship together breaking up. Breaking up because the girl was cheating on the guy's back, breaking up because the guy fell out of love, breaking up because both of them didn't see the need for them to be together. I have one word for all you couples: if you are going to leave your other half, never do it online or via text. I know breaking up is such a heavy thing to do, but for you to break up via text shows a lot about you. You're just plain selfish and irresponsible.

Well, if you can ask her personally to be your girlfriend, you can definitely break up with her face to face. A while ago, a friend of mine was devastated when she found out that her ex was seeing someone when they were still together. The guy told her that he "needed time for himself" and "needed space away from her". Little did she know, he went out with another girl. Can you even imagine what the girlfriend felt when she found out?

This is the part in relationships that I really hate, after the honeymoon part. The part where all your demons decide to come out and haunt the both of you. The part where it decides the fate of your relationship, whether it's gonna last or not. Some passed and some failed miserably. Love is a double-edged sword. You feel the emotion wholeheartedly, but because of love, it changes you as a person, for better or for the worse.

For the couples who are still going strong, I applaud you. It's never easy to sustain a relationship for a long period of time and I salute your endurance. For those of you who are cheating on your partner's back, shame on you. Spare your partner the drama and let him/her go. No point saving the relationship  when it can't be saved anymore and also when you can't be honest to them. And for those single guys and ladies, I know you crave for the attention from someone who sees the great in you. I know you look away whenever you see couples approaching you, being all lovey-dovey and all that. I know you also want to feel how it feels like to be in love. Trust me, it takes time. You knight in shining armor will come soon, with his horse and a bouquet of roses for you. Your damsel in distress will be lying there, in her glass bed, waiting for you to free her. Someone is out there, you just got to be patient and save yourself from all the unnecessary drama and heartbreaks when you meet countless Mr Wrongs. Just be patient, and everything will work out well for you.

Happy Valentine's Day from me and I hope you'll have lots of fun, single or attached.
