trip to ikea
yesterday's trip to ikea was hella
fun!
I don't know
whether it’s just me or not but I really love walking down the aisle, looking
at ikea’s mini-exhibitions, play around with the stuff there and (secretly)
imagining that someday my room would turn out like that (fat luck baby)
my family and I went to the Alexandra branch to check out some cabinets and I have been wanting to buy their scented candles since forever. We figured it's actually time to visit ikea since the last trip was a few months back. It was a perfect timing too because there wasn't too many people in ikea and most of their products were on sale! Who doesn't love sales anyway?
It seemed like the store recently had a makeover because the pavements seemed less narrow than before and the mini-exhibitions looked different. Overall, the store had this very welcoming feel with the new changes.
while browsing the items, I came across this section in the far corner. It had a pinkish theme and I was pretty curious, so I went to the corner. Apparently, it was a separate section made specially for Valentine's Day and they've yet to take it away. All of the items there were possible gifts for your other half; heart-shaped candles, love gift wrappers, flowers, you name it.
the one fact I love about ikea is that no matter how hard you try, you can never get lost in ikea. Just like all the shoppers in ikea, we followed the pathway and made our purchases. Upon arriving the home decorations area, I rushed to the candles section and had such a difficult time choosing which candles to buy. There were so many options to choose from....sigh if only I was able to buy all of them gaHHhhHH
I stumbled across the gardening section and saw a bunch of really beautiful artificial flowers. True, its artificial, but how can one resist the beauty of those petals? Instantly, I took a few snaps of the flowers.
(oops i must have been that hungry to not shift
the focus from the hands lol)
We had a really satisfying dinner and went home with our tummies filled to the brim. Really love going out with my family members and chillaxing (w/o having to think about exams hehe)
on a side note, it's already March! Hello March, goodbye February. February has been a really tough month, but I'm glad it's over. Let's hope for the best for march and all of the other months (i know very cliché but who would want to suffer for the rest of the year).
Till the next post, sayonara *winks*
