nrhaziqah.

Hello lovelies.
Just like I said in my previous entry, I'm finally here.
I'm done with my final year project, after two presentations and currently it's finals week.
Finals week also means holiday week because after I'm done with finals, it's time to partay yippee!!

It's 1:25am and I've just finished studying a few chapters for my examination on Thursday. It feels very funny to write notes and all because I don't quite remember the last time I wrote any notes for school, being an IT student and all. I figured it's a pretty good time to write an entry just because I am not that sleepy yet and I kinda want to.

Earlier on in the afternoon, I was talking to Nurina, Sajidah and Nadz about random things when suddenly the topic about the future came about. At first we were talking about it casually, but then the conversation became serious. It went from what will happen to us after graduating poly to having our own career to dating to getting married and building our own families.

I actually like talking about the future with friends because I really want to know how everyone see themselves in 5 years or 10 years down the road. I talked to Kai, Nina and Nini about the future too and it's very entertaining to listen to their fantasies and goals. One time, Nini said she might turn out a cat lady (p.s. she hates cats) and it cracked me up real bad.

Have you ever wondered what it'll be like 5 years down the road? Have you ever thought of the guy/girl you'd be dating in the future? Or have you thought of the position you'd want to be by the time you turn 25? It's nervewrecking just how fast time flies.

I'm only 19 but after graduating next year god willing, I'll be facing the cruel real world, have to shoulder more responsibilities, and meet more people (good and bad). What happened to all the time that I lost back in secondary school? It felt like I applied to my dream polytechnic yesterday, but now I'm already going for internship. I wished I spent more time exploring myself or taking up sports that I really wanted to (like wakeboarding or skating)

Okay enough with the serious topic, goes to show the things I think about at 1:49 when I'm supposed to be sleeping kekeke. Hopefully yall are having lots of fun during the holidays and for those who are currently burning the midnight oil for finals, press on!
and also for those who are having those bad late night thoughts, it's only a bad day, not a bad life. Go out, hang out with your friends and have lots of fun. Friends are instant mood-changer, trust me on that.

goodnight x

Hello everyone, I know it's been a darn long time since the last post and I'm not gonna apologise like I always do for the lack of updates because honestly, I've been extremely busy with school especially final year project. I hardly even have any time for myself these few weeks.
I may have been inactive here, but I've been posting my updates on my dayre. I figured it's a little bit easier to post my entries when I'm too lazy to switch on my laptop or when I just felt like writing something.
Quite a number of stuffs happened while I was away, so let me share with you (in chronological order, I hope):

1. My Nineteenth Birthday (and things that happened during that week)

As you all know, I turned 19 on the 14th June. The week of my birthday was by far the most busiest week ever. I celebrated my birthday with different groups of people on different days. Firstly, with my family members. My dad had a week of leave from work he decided it was a good day to cross the border. It's been a while since our last visit to Malaysia anyway, and we haven't been spending much family time together so it felt great.
We arrived around evening and made our way for lunch at Kenny Rogers. It was our first time eating there and the food was okay. We then headed to shop for essentials because why not? It's so much cheaper there :-P

We also visited Popular bookstore and I came across copies of The Originals on the racks!!!! I started screaming when I saw Klaus and Elijah's faces on the cover!!!!

*Inner white girl voice* oH MY GAD I CANT EVEN

2. Meet up with my favourite girls

A few days after the trip, I met up with my favourite bunch of girls! We haven't been meeting with the whole squad for a while now and figured that June holidays were the perfect time to meet up. Even so, it was pretty difficult to set up a date because everyone had different schedules and most of had conflicting schedules. Thank goodness we found a suitable date where everyone was able to go out. My sister tagged along with us because she too hasn't met her kakaks for a long time and missed them dearly. We also like to think of my sister as our "official" member since she's always up to hang out with my friends. Since we were on our way already, we decided to stop by Nad's house to visit Nad's sister and the beautiful baby Nayla!

3. 14 June 2015

Celebrated my 19th Birthday by spending time with my hype girls at wild wild wet! Nina had tickets to www and brought the four of us to www for some action-packed time. And boy, we really had a blast!  Had to meet the girls at Pasir Ris by 8am, and since I am the only one living in the West, you can only imagine the lonely ride I had to take to Pasir Ris. The ride was worth it because when I arrived at the destination, the girls were waiting for me with a cake in their hands and they were singing a Happy Birthday song. I was super touched by their gesture and couldn't bring myself to form sentences.

We went for karaoke after that because we were still very hyped and soon after, everyone was pretty tired after three hours of singing and rapping to big bang :P

4. The clash of two worlds

On the 12th of July, we had a group meetup thanks to Nad and Sharul. The both of them initiated a meet up for his side of his friends and her side of her friends. Since it was during the fasting month, we all met up for break fast. Honestly, the thought of meeting new people makes me really happy and to be given the opportunity to widen my social circle seems great. I was pretty nervous because I wanted to make a good impression, but then I thought "what the heck? I'd just have to be myself." I was just worried about any awkward silences or something like that. Turns out, I didn't really need to be worried because the guys were really entertaining and they knew how to communicate. The journey from boon lay to harbourfront did not feel like forever because both groups were catching up with each other. It was a month or so since the last time I met Nurina and Sajidah and we had so much to share with each other. The guys also looked like they had so many things to talk about with each other. The chit-chatting session continued while waiting for breakfast and we filled Nad in about the details we talked earlier.

After breaking fast, we all felt like chilling so we made our way to vivo's rooftop and started talking with everyone. The girls were naturally shy, so we didn't talk that much. The guys on the other hand, had so many stories to share with us. Most of the stories had us in fits of laughter and everyone started to get comfortable with each other.

We eventually made our way home at 10pm and bid our goodbyes to everyone. I felt like my troubles went away after meeting the whole gang because it was so much fun and I didn't want it to end. Plus, it was a great way to release stress.

5. Hari Raya 2015

My cousins came over to my house for the first day of Hari Raya because it's been like that for the past decade. We had so much fun catching up about school, intern and other stuffs. We also had time for a henna party, done by yours truly. Needless to say, this year's raya was by far the best hari raya I've ever had in a long time.

(the tallest ones had to go to the front lol)

the more I look at these photos, the more I feel like I resemble my dad instead of my mum

6. Another meetup with ma homies

Nad, Nurina, Sajidah and I had an impromptu meet up because all of us coincidentally were going back home at the same time and it was Saj's second last day at work and she was in the mood to treat us bingsu! We headed over to Jcube and got ourselves two oreo bingsu and it was super delicious, especially after braving the dreadful hours in school. Nothing felt better than a bowl of yummy dessert, while listening to them bicker about the littlest things. We also managed to sneak in some time to gossip about work and everything else oops.

7. last but not least, playnation

The gang and I went to Playnation at Prinsep St last Wednesday because we just realised we have yet to go out together to have fun. As the four of us love dancing, we all decided that it would be a great idea to go to Playnation! We spent the first hour playing Rock Band and after getting frustrated at the instruments, we switched to Just Dance. Who would have thought that we'd spend three full hours dancing......definitely not us. We had team battles: Nini and Nina vs Haz and Kai, followed by solo battles. We seriously kicked everyone's asses and screamed so many times thanks to dance battles. I'd never forget this beautiful memory.

So that concludes my summary for the things I've done since being away. Needless to say, I've been spending a great amount of time with the people I love and I've been really happy for the past few months. Hoping that I'll be able to meet all of them soon (minus the poly gang because I'll see them tomorrow) Thanks for reading my very lengthy post, it's been a while and I might have gotten a little bit rusty. Probably will be able to post again after I'm done with my final year project, which is due in a month's time. Goodnight x
