hi there lovelies ( ˘ ³˘)❤
I've been wanting to post this entry since wednesday, after the paper but I was too exhausted after everything that happened on that day, hence a delayed post. I'm pretty sure that's all right :-)

On my previous post, I said that I'll be having two exams this semester. Sounds manageable, compared to most of my friends who are having 5-6 papers during this exam week. Pretty lucky to be in my course :D

I sat for my first paper, database management, on last wednesday. To be completely honest, I couldn't get enough sleep that previous night because I was too nervous for the paper. I didn't have enough confidence to sit for that very paper and was just hoping for a pass. I did the usual revision days before the exam and just let God handle it for me.

Surprisingly, the paper was rather manageable and I was able to answer most of the questions in the paper. compared to taking the paper last term, I was clear of what I was writing and knew what it wanted. I remembered the last time i took my dbms paper, I was basically writing anything that sounded right (or not). It was such a relief that I'm really done with dbms for year one.

to celebrate for the end of dbms, kailee and I went for lunch at jem and talked about school and plans during the semester break. We then went window shopping, searched for hunter x hunter mangas for kailee and stumbled upon really nice japanese magazines in Kinokuniya. Too bad I can't read or speak Japanese :-(

I had an impromptu meet-up with khai after window shopping and I went to meet his poly friends that he hangs out with in school. It will always be awkward when meeting new people but hey, they're such lovely and friendly people. to be honest, I was quite shy to talk to them and I didn't really know what to say ( /)u(\ ) I even got to know that one of his friends graduated from boonlay sec in 2010 what a small world. I really liked how they make me feel at home even when it's just the first time meeting them.

after their late lunch, we bid our goodbyes and headed back to the library to study. I did not bring along my notes for the next exam, so I accompanied khai while he was studying for his next paper. its so typical of me to disturb people when they're studying and he had to endure my "activities". It's great to know that we're learning similar topics and knowing that we can share notes hehe perks of being in the same course
the day ended with the long journey back home. I'm really glad that I got to meet him after all
these months (*⌒▽⌒*)θ~♪

overall, it was a really great day and no words can describe how I felt hehe. next exam in 5 more days and I should be wasting any more time that I already am. good luck to the rest of you who are still having their exams and may the force be with you! till the next post *waves*

The past two weeks has been really tough for me. Deadlines for assignments and projects, proposals to be handed in, and the most dreaded, presentations. but thank goodness all of that are over and I can literally smell the holidays. I've gotta say, this term has by far been the most time-consuming, emotional, energy-consuming and lack-of-sleep-ing term ever. However, it marks the end of my year one and it's pretty bitter-sweet to know that I may not see the same classmates again next year and to leave behind all those precious memories I've made with the friends that I got to know this year.

The second semester is pretty different than the first semester because I have three modules that are related to groupwork and presentations. Since secondary school, presentations has never been my cup of tea. I hated speaking and sharing to the class about irrelevant stuffs :( plus, I tend to get nervous when I'm speaking to the whole class and my voice gets all  weird haha

Two of my "groupwork" modules, namely teamwork and communication skills & iDiscover, are tied together but graded accordingly. What I actually mean is the topics we studied are being taught in iDiscover and tips on how to improve teamwork and ways to present oneself better. for these two modules, my classmates are the half of my classmates and half of a class from Diploma in Business Information Technology (DBIT). The new and unfamiliar students eventually became my classmates and also my friends.

I also had my first (and last) formal presentation for the year. I was really stoked for it because I've obviously never had a formal presentation. Looking at business students wearing formal clothes makes me jealous sometimes but when I got the opportunity to wear formal for a day, I'm pretty much glad I wouldn't need to don formal everyday :-D

here's me and my teammate, simching!

I know I'm gonna miss my classmates, especially Kai :( but I know new classmates means new opportunities and new first impressions :-D i'm also glad that this year is over and the much-awaited holidays are closely approaching, but most importantly, I'm really proud of myself for sucessfully enduring you. I remember how I thought I wouldn't be able to because at that time, I was too dependent and too afraid.

OH BOY I was sooooo wrong.

As a matter of fact, this term has been such a blast despite its challenges. I got to do stuffs that I wouldn't do in a million years, like walking around school like a fool with a balloon attached to my wrist, applying temporary tattoos on my wrist, colouring irregular strands of my hair with hair chalk, etc. Long story short, I got to be myself. sounds normal does it? well, when there's a certain someone who would always give his "two cents" about whatever I do that seems not normal, it's difficult. putting the past behind, I'm really glad that year one is almost over. two papers and hello holidays :-) All the best and good luck to the poly students who are currently mugging for their exams!
